We haven't gone to the derby the last 2 years. I think its a waste of money. But we decided to go this year and give it another try. Yes we went because it was free!! I think they way they did the seating was stupid but we got an ok seat.
I told my kids they could each get one treat. Tessa took some of her own money so she could have 2. If that girl has money in her pocket she has to spend it. They were good to share their treat with each other. Sadie's kids got a large shaved ice to share and that thing was gone in about 30 seconds. Stetson got a brain freeze after the first 4 bites.
Tessa would pick her favorite car each heat. Boy was she into it. She laughed the whole time. Cater love it when the 4-wheelers tipped over. However my kids didn't last till the end. Not many other kids did either most the seats by us were empty by time they did the second round of motorcycle's. Thats when we left to. But it was still fun.
